CHRISTOPHER’S TESTIMONY AND CALL TO MINISTRY
On April 30, 1986 as my family and I were at a
seafood restaurant in Everett, Wa. I came under deep conviction of my
sin. I was only four years old, but I realized that my actions at
the restaurant were very disobedient to my mother and father and I
needed to be saved. I had heard of being saved from my AWANA
teacher and while driving home I purposed in my heart to get saved once
I reached the house. When we arrived home, I asked my father if I
could be saved, and he took me into my bedroom where I knelt down and
asked the Lord to forgive me for my sins, and save me.
As a child the Lord had placed a great desire in my heart to serve Him.
During high school, though, my focus shifted from serving God to
pursuing the American dream . I went to college, received a degree
in electrical engineering and was commissioned as an officer in the
United States Air Force.
My first duty assignment was to Rome, New York, and it is here where God
began to show me my pride and arrogance through a local Baptist church.
In 2007, while on a short military assignment to Ohio, I heard a laymen
at a local Baptist church preach a message on “Which Chair are You in?”
and God used this message to convict me of my need to surrender my life
to full-time missions. I am excited about where God has
been leading my wife and me, and I am totally surrendered to doing His
will.
REBEKAH’S TESTIMONY
& CALL TO MINISTRY
Hello my name is Rebekah and I grew up
in a Christian home where I was taught by example to love the Lord and
obey Him. When I was only 4 years old my father was diagnosed with
cancer, and after one month of battling cancer he passed away, leaving
my mother to provide for her three daughters. A few months later, while
talking with one of my cousins, I realized my need for salvation and
accepted Christ as my personal Savior.
My parents were faithful in taking me to church. In 1986 at the age of
4 years old, I realized my need for salvation and was saved. Then in
1998, I was baptized by my uncle Pastor Jim Swieringa.
In 2007, while attending Camp Cobeac in, Houghton Lake, Michigan, I
surrendered my life to the Lord for full-time Christian service. Upon
graduation from high school, I attended Ambassador Baptist College in
Lattimore, North Carolina. This is where I met my husband Christopher,
and realized God’s calling for my life. I am excited about what
God has in store for us
