I (Allen) got saved in May of 1991 at Green Street Baptist Church in High Point, NC. It was only after my best friend was persistent in inviting me to church, that I went, just to get him to quit bothering me about it. I didn't want God. I wasn't looking for God. I was happy doing what I was doing. I was living "my" life. A life filled with sin and shame and rebelliousness. Little did I know, that God had another plan for my life. Praise God, that Thursday night at that youth meeting, the Holy Ghost came and convicted my heart and showed me I was a sinner. For the first time in my life, I realized that I was lost and on my way to a Devil's Hell. I had no hope of escaping that awful place, outside of the grace of God and the shed blood of Jesus Christ. I went forward and asked the Lord to save me that night at the age of 16 yrs old. Not only did He save me, but He changed me also. God had other plans for my life. In May of 2001, God called me to preach.

While visiting some friends my wife and I had made while in the military, we found ourselves in Chester, California. While there, we noticed that there were NO Independent Baptist Churches for us or anybody else to attend. The Lord began to burden my heart for;the town of Chester and the surrounding areas. There were Catholics, JWs, Episcopalians, and Scientologists, but no Independent Baptist Church.
We have been, for the last 10 yrs, serving the Lord in Lighthouse Baptist Church in Seagrove, NC. While waiting on the Lord's timing, we have been actively involved with such ministries as preaching in nursing homes, homeschool chapel, running a van route, filling in for other local pastors when they need us, playing instruments (bass, piano), singing (choir, special music), helping with the finances, cleaning, visitation and being a help and encouragement to the Man of God.

Angie grew up in church and made a profession as a 6 yr old child. She went to church faithfully, read my bible, and prayed, But she was miserable on the inside. She had no peace and no joy. Then God opened her eyes at 32 yrs of age and showed me that her was lost. She had religion, but no personal relationship with the Lord. She got saved on June 2nd, 2007.

God has called our family to Chester, California to plant an Independent, Fundamental, Baptist church.
Chester is a small town of about 2,100 people, that is located 140 miles north of Sacramento, and 120 miles northwest of Reno, Nv, in northern California. Because the area has developed into a vacation/tourist destination, during the summer months, the population rises from 2,100 to approximately 75-80,000. This is due to the fact that Chester serves as the retail center for the entire Lake Almanor area.
Although Chester can supply these people with all of their earthly needs, it has very little to offer spiritually. Currently, there are no Independent, Fundamental, King James Bible preaching, Baptist churches within 1 1/2 hours driving distance.
We are very excited about the work that the Lord has called us to do in Chester. We ask that you would please pray for family, and consider having us in to present our call and burden for Chester, California.
